Analyst - Commericial
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate person to join our growing team in Sydney or Canberra. You will be working closely with our experienced team members to deliver on the financial and commercial aspects of advisory mandates and renewable energy development projects in Australia, the Pacific and globally.

The role will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities: 
  • Design, build and maintain complex financial models for energy projects (for example wind, solar and storage project finance models). 
  • Lead the development and delivery of scenario analysis of commercial outcomes, identifying key opportunities and risks for senior management.
  • Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders to gather key information required for specific models and provide advice and key findings.
  • Extract data in usable formats, analyse and present key results and findings.
  • Work in a complex and deadline driven project environment, where you can manage multiple projects at once.
  • Supporting the wider advisory and project development team as needed on delivery of advisory and development projects. Some additional projects may include:
  • Screening projects and contributing to feasibility studies (technical and commercial).
  • Creation of client materials such as PPTs and reports.
  • Conducting research on companies, projects, markets and technologies.
Our ideal candidate will have: 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar type role.
  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or other relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Excel skills ideally including vba and experience with financial modelling related to energy and/or infrastructure sectors.
  • Preferably a familiarity with investment fundamentals (for example investor returns, debt requirements).
  • An enthusiastic approach to tackling new projects and challenges.
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, problem solve and quickly learn new concepts and processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to work well both within a team and with external parties.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of database and project management software is ideal.
  • A commercial mindset, with a passion for working in the renewable energy industry and a desire to transform the energy sector.
  • A desire to grow your career, learn new skills and contribute to the growth of Energy Estate.
  • A willingness to be based in Sydney or Canberra and be willing to travel as needed.
